YCB9RL-63-B is a complete upgrade residual circuit breaker of the existing A type residual circuit signal detection, it can not only have an effective protection to the AC (AC type) and pulsating DC (A type) and may produce compound residual current (F type) , but also have an effective protection to smooth DC and high frequency residual current (1kHz). In the circuit composed of rectifier, inverter, frequency converter, etc., the Leakage current generated by DC loop can be effectively detected and protected. The products are widely used in industry, medical treatment, charging pile, elevator and other fields.
The residual current type: AC+A+ Smooth DC +F+ High frequency signal (1kHz)

Frequently asked questions about B Type RCCBs for EV chargers, inverters, VFD systems, and other applications requiring advanced residual current protection.
A Type B RCCB is a residual current circuit breaker designed to detect AC residual current, pulsating DC residual current, smooth DC residual current, and high-frequency leakage current. It is suitable for advanced electrical systems such as EV chargers, inverters, and variable frequency drives.
Type A RCCBs can detect AC and pulsating DC leakage currents, while Type B RCCBs can also detect smooth DC leakage currents and high-frequency residual currents. This makes Type B RCCBs more suitable for applications involving power electronics.
A Type B RCCB should be used where smooth DC leakage current may occur, such as in EV charging stations, photovoltaic inverter systems, variable frequency drives, elevators, medical equipment, and industrial automation systems.
EV chargers may generate smooth DC leakage currents because of their internal power electronic components. Standard RCCBs may not detect these currents properly, while Type B RCCBs provide more reliable protection in this situation.
No. Type A RCCBs are not designed to reliably detect smooth DC leakage currents. In applications where DC leakage may occur, a Type B RCCB should be used to ensure proper protection.
Typical applications include EV charging stations, solar inverter systems, variable frequency drives, UPS systems, elevators, medical equipment, and industrial automation equipment.
A Type B RCCB can detect AC residual current, pulsating DC residual current, smooth DC residual current, and high-frequency leakage current. This wide detection range makes it suitable for complex modern electrical systems.
Common sensitivity ratings include 30mA, 100mA, and 300mA. A 30mA device is generally used for personal protection, while higher ratings are used for equipment protection or fire prevention.
In many photovoltaic systems, especially those using transformerless inverters, smooth DC leakage currents may occur. In these cases, a Type B RCCB is often recommended or required.
You should consider the rated current, number of poles, residual current sensitivity, installation environment, and the type of connected equipment. The right selection helps ensure safe and reliable protection.
