The YCS7N Surge Protection Device is used to protect low-voltage electrical systems from transient overvoltage caused by lightning strikes or switching surges. It is usually installed in the incoming line low-voltage distribution box of a building to help protect downstream electrical equipment.
YCS7N is suitable for TT, IT, TN-S, TN-C, and TN-C-S power supply systems with rated voltage up to 110/230V and AC 50/60Hz. It can be used in different low-voltage distribution systems according to the required wiring method.
YCS7N Surge Protection Device complies with IEC 61643-11, the standard for low-voltage surge protective devices. This makes it suitable for surge protection applications in building power distribution systems.
YCS7N can release up to 80kA lightning stroke current. The series includes multiple current options to meet different surge protection requirements in low-voltage distribution systems.
YCS7N includes both T1+T2 and T2 options. The T1+T2 type is designed for combined lightning current and surge protection, while the T2 type is mainly used for protection against induced surge overvoltage in low-voltage power systems.
YCS7N features a sealed structure design, modular appearance, high lightning current discharge capacity, fast response time, high-energy graphite, and stable performance. The sealed structure helps prevent arc leakage during operation, improving safety in electrical distribution systems.
YCS7N adopts a modular design and can be installed on a 35mm DIN rail. Its 18mm width modular structure helps save space in distribution boxes and makes installation more convenient.
Yes. YCS7N is available with remote signalling function. In the model designation, “R” indicates the remote communication version, while “/” indicates the non-communication version. The remote signalling function can help monitor fault status in distribution systems.
